I recently completed a bachelor of Human Kinetics, specializing in Clinical Exercise Physiology. My current research interests include surgical, pediatric and oncology rehabilitation.

I have an undergraduate science degree from the University of Alberta (biology and psychology), and am currently researching exercise training programs in liver cirrhosis patients. In my off-time I enjoy golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, weight lifting, cooking, and home brewing.

I am interested in researching the effects of physical activity and evidence-based exercise prescription on cancer patients, with a focus on prostate cancer and bone metastases. My goal is to help patients become more physically active and improve their overall quality of life, both during and after treatment.

I was fortunate to come back to pursue a MSc in Rehabilitation Sciences; I chose an emphasis in childhood cancer rehabilition as it is a field that needs to be explored!

Shreya

My personal journey with yoga and meditation has developed my interest of research in finding the effects of Yoga in Cancer population. It would be interesting to look at the holistic benefits of yoga in cancer patients and survivors.
